This week is AWS re:Invent 2018. For the 7th time, it’s bigger than ever, spanning 7 hotels: The Venetian, The Mirage, Encore, Aria, MGM Grand, Bellagio, and Vdara. So plan your transitions well, make sure you have some good walking shoes, and take the AWS shuttles between hotels.
Like previous years, you’ll notice different coloured lanyards holding everyone’s badges. Here’s an updated list.
Black - This person is a general attendee. Most attendees will have this colour. Members of the AWS Partner Network also wear black.
Teal/Aqua - This person is with one of the re:Invent sponsors. You’ll see them in the Expo. This is a change from the green lanyards used in previous years.
Orange - This person is an AWS employee. Love them because without them, there would be no re:Invent.
Red - This person is a member of the press & analysts groups.
Grey - This person is part of the Executive Summit happening during re:Invent.
White - This person is works for the vendors helping put re:Invent together, such as The Venetian, Mirage, Sands Expo, T3, etc.
Purple - You’ll see these people at the re:Play party only. They’re extra guests of the attendees.
